Carsons Original Western Jerky
Recipe Type: Carsons Original Western Jerky

  • 2lbs London Broil or Carne Asada Thinly Sliced Meet (Top or Bottom Round Works Well Also)
  • 2 Teaspoons of salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 6 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2/3 Cups red wine vinegar
  • 2/3 Cups of ketchup
  • 2 Teaspoons dry mustard
  1. Mix Everything Together in a zip-lock Bag
  2. Let it Marinate Overnight
  3. We Smoked it Treager Smoker on the “Smoke” Setting with Hickory, Alder or Oak for 4-6 hrs Depending On Thickness Of The Meat

  5. We also Dehydrated this Jerky on a Nesco Dehydrator for 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 hours for a less smokey Jerky and it turned out awesome.
