This is the stuff of legends folks, personally this is my current #1 favorite jerky on the planet right now. It’s got some serious kick to it, if you don’t want it very hot 1/2 the pepper. The flavor of this jerky just blows people away! I’ve been making it once a week lately because I can’t get enough nor the people who come to my house lol

Ingredients:

5 Pounds of thin sliced carne asada beef

6 TBSP Brown Sugar

2 TBSP Kosher Salt

4 TSP Garlic Powder

4 TSP Dried Thyme

3 TSP Ground Chipotle Chile

2 TSP Fresh Ground Pepper

1 TSP Ground Cumin

Zest of 2 oranges

Instructions:

Mix together let it marinate for 24 hours. Smoke with Hickory, Cherry and Apple 180-200 degrees or until done. Depending on the thickness of the meat and how well done you like your jerky typically 2-3 hours.
